1. Recurrence of Vaginal Yeast Infection; this is a health condition that arises when the candida fungus grows uncontrollably in the vagina. Research has shown that higher blood sugar level is the cause of recurring yeast infection because the fungus thrives most when there is sugar. So if your blood sugar level is high, one way of knowing is if you always suffer from yeast infections.

2. Urinary tract Infections; women who are suffering from diabetes and perhaps don’t know about it, often deal with urinary tract infections more often than others. So if you start dealing with urinary tract infections more often than before or than normal, then the best thing you should do is check your blood sugar level to know if it’s due to higher than normal blood sugar level.

4. Darker areas in certain parts of the skin. This is referred to acanthosis and it is one of the early signs of diabetes especially when it gets out of hand. So make sure you go for checkup once parts of your skin starts getting darker than normal.
