Cristiano Ronaldo famously moved from Juventus to Manchester United last year after spending 3 years in Italy, lifting 5 trophies, including numerous personal titles. Ronaldo literally scored 1/3 of their total league goals (57) this season. His 18 goals were part of the reason they struggled to qualify for a Europa League spot.
He also singlehandedly carried Manchester United through the Champions League group stage but couldn’t replicate the feat against Atletico Madrid in the knockout stage.
In other words, Cristiano Ronaldo had a bad season with Manchester United. Not long ago, it was rumoured that he requested to leave the team to a club qualified to play in the Champions League next season. These are some possible teams that might sign him any time.
1. Bayern Munich:
Bayern Munich were Bundesliga winners last season, which saw them win their 10th league title in a row. One of their most famous transfers was the purchase of Sadio Mane from Liverpool, and the sale of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona which might make them need a new centre forward. As such, this might prompt them to sign Cristiano Ronaldo to fill up that space left by the Polish legend.
2. Chelsea:
Chelsea finished 3rd in the Premier League, just behind Manchester City and Liverpool. Their result was partly based on the poor performance exhibited by the former center forward, Romelu Lukaku. Due to his bad performance, he was sold back to where he was bought from, Inter Milan.
Now, they might need someone to fill up that space he left. And after chasing and losing Robert Lewandowski, they might need to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
3. Atletico Madrid:
The Spanish side finished third last season, just behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. They look very promising this season, with the amazing squad they have.
Although we don’t know why exactly they need Ronaldo, but credible sources claim that Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to take a pay cut to leave Manchester United, probably to Atletico Madrid.
