Mateu Alemany has been leading the latest talks from Las Vegas, although FC Barcelona has not yet officially presented an offer for the player. It is expected to do so in the next few hours and for an amount that Sevilla could accept.

Sevilla are aiming for a figure between 50 and 60 million for several reasons. The main one is that 20 per cent of this transfer is destined for Girondins de Bordeaux. Sevilla paid 25 million in 2019 for the player, but only for his 80 per cent. Therefore, all the money will not go to their coffers.

On the other hand, the club will subsequently have to invest enough to bring in another centre-back after the departure not only of Koundé, but also of Diego Carlos, who was transferred to Aston Villa for 31 million.
