Well, Chelsea might have rejected the player who could solve their present issue affecting the team’s performance in matches. In the two friendly matches played by Chelsea in this pre-season, the team is still having a major concern with converting chances in front of goal.
The Blues’ attackers haven’t been prolific enough in front of goal being guilty of missing several goalscoring chances in the matches. If this issue in the team carries on till next season, they might struggle in their fight for titles in Europe.
Signing Cristiano Ronaldo is one step Chelsea could take in replenishing the team’s attack ahead of next season’s campaign. The Portuguese International who is known for his great goalscoring ability can guarantee Chelsea 20-30+ goals a season.
The 37-year-old could bring an end to Chelsea’s wastefulness in front of goal which is the team’s present pressing issue. I think Chelsea should do what’s right by signing Cristiano Ronaldo before the start of the new season.
