The 23 years old has been on Chelsea’s radar for a while. Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea failed to lure the player to England last season and are now out in full for the French signature as a result of the void created in Chelsea’s defense by the two players mentioned earlier.
According to Spanish publication Marca, it is reported that Chelsea has finalized an agreement with the central defender on a five-year deal.
It is added that Sevilla will pocket £52 million for the 23-year-old player for a move to the Stamford Bridge.
Although Barcelona has shown interest in the player in an attempt to improve their defense for the coming season. With Barcelona having a financial boost, they could put off a strong competition with Chelsea for the French Central defender.
