Chelsea football club are not exempted though as the West London club continue to further strengthen their current squad under the management of Mauricio Pochettino after a difficult start to the ongoing season.

The Blues are currently occupying the 10th position on the Premier League table after playing 19 matches so far and are very much aware of the need to sign some more players in January.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea football club have completed the signing of highly-rated AF Darou Salam defensive midfielder Pape Daouda Diong ahead of the January transfer window.

The 17-year-old Senegal International, who has been with the AF Darou Salam academy over a while now has proven to be one of the best midfield talents in the country.

The young defensive midfielder was part of the Senegal U17 side that contested in the just concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup where he actually impressed with his performances.

His excellent performances in midfield has caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from The Sun, the Blues have now signed him on a permanent deal.

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club have completed the signing of Pape Daouda Diong and have made the young defensive midfielder their first transfer signing of 2024.

It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to add more quality to his midfield options next year and the Blues have sealed a deal for the young Pape Daouda Diong from Senegal.
