Senator Bamidele (2020 Ekiti State Gubernatorial Elections)
Bamidele described himself as the best to govern Ekiti in view of his experiences in public service that spanned over 30 years and cut across the executive, legislative and judicial strata. The governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, disclosed that his intention to run is because God has anointed him to turn around the fortune of the state through developmental programmes and policies
Senator Abaribe Enyinnaya (Abia Gubernatorial elections).
The minority leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe has stated that he will contest in the 2023 governorship election in Abia state. The Abia South senator said he would contest in the state’s governorship election in 2023.
He disclosed this while answering questions from journalists at an event in Obingwa and Aba North Local Government Areas. Abaribe declared his interest on Monday at an event organised in his honour by Nzuko Ahiaba La Abayi, a sociocultural organisation in Ahiaba, Obingwa LGA of the state.
According to Vanguard News, Senator Abaribe who was the state’s Deputy Governor between 1999 and 2003, alleged that he has also informed the Governor, Doctor Okezie Ikpeazụ, about his 2023 governorship ambition.
Senator Biodun Olujimi (2022 Ekiti Gubernatorial Election)
Senator Biodun Olujimi, representing Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Senate, on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti indicated her interest to contest the state Governorship election, slated for June 18, 2022.
According to the report From vanguard newspaper which was made available on the 15th of November, 2021. It’s reveals that senator Olujimi disclosed her decision to newsmen in a telephone conversation in Ado-Ekiti, that she will be contesting for the 2022 Ekiti state Governorship election, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
