For instance, Some Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, recently dumped the Party for the All Progressives Congress APC. Though, Some Leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC, also dumped the Party for PDP, but they are not many.
However, There are some Progressives Leaders, who have never dumped the Progressives Party, for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, irrespective of the challenges, they might be facing in their Party, All Progressives Congress APC.
One of the APC Leaders who may find it difficult to dump APC for PDP, is the Former Governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande. Chief Bisi Akande is a Progressives man, who have spent all his Lifetime, with the Progressives family.
Chief Akande was a nephew to Late Chief Bola Ige, and he happened to be his Political mentor. Chief Akande has never dumped Progressives Party, for any other Political Party. He became the Governor of Osun State, under the Platform of Alliance for Democracy AD. Though, He could not win his second term election, as Governor of the State.
He was elected as National Chairman of Alliance for Democratic AD. He contested for the Position of National Chairman of AD, against the former Senator of Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, but Chief Akande defeated him.
Akande was also the chairman, even when the Party, changed to Action Congress of Nigeria ACN, then from ACN to the All Progressives Congress APC. Chief Akande has been faithful to the Progressives Party, right from inception.
Meanwhile, Akande was the former Governor of Osun State, and his outstanding Performance, cannot be overemphasized in the State. Akande has been finding it difficult to join PDP, since the return of Democracy, and because of the love, he has for Progressives Party.
Another APC Leader in Southwest, who has never dump the Party for PDP, is the former Governor of Lagos State, and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu was two terms Governor in Lagos State and he has been Faithful to the Progressives Parties, right from the time of Alliance for Democracy AD.
He was re-elected for second term, as Governor of Lagos State, under the Platform of AD. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Pionered how Chief Akande became the National Chairman of the Party.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu also contributed immensely to the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari, with the formation of the All Progressives Congress APC.
Tinubu did all these, to show the extent of love, he has for the Progressives Party, APC. Therefore, he may be finding it difficult, to dump the Party for PDP, because He has invested so much in APC.
