The Bees hit Leeds United for five in their last Premier League outing, while the Gunners failed to a disappointing 3-1 defeat by the hands of an energetic Manchester United side.
The match which is scheduled to kick off at 12 pm on Sunday will mark the 2nd meeting between these two sides in the top flight since the inception of the premier league.
Without further ado, below is how the Gunners performed in their two outings against the Bees in the Premier League.
1. Brentford 2-0 Arsenal (13 August 2021)
Arsenal was beaten 2-0 in their inaugural visit to the Gtech Community Stadium, with Sergi Canos and Christian Norgaard netting in either half to ensure that Brentford got to a dream start in the Premier League.
2. Arsenal 2-1 Brentford (19 Feb 2022)
In the reverse fixture the following year, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka fired Arsenal to a comfortable 2-1 victory over Brentford on home turf.
Both London clubs have met just twice since the inception of the premier league and on both occasions, Arsenal was made to work hard throughout the entire 90 minutes.
In addition to this, Brentford has been magnificent this season and has netted 15 times so far – with ten of their goals coming in front of their own fans.
Arsenal, meanwhile, has improved from where there was last term, picking up 15 points out of a possible 18 on offer. After the disappointing defeat the Gunners failed in their last Premier League outing, Mikel Arteta will bid for his side to go into the international break with a positive result, so he is expected to line up his strongest side here on Sunday.
