Recall that Channels TV had few hours, reported that former Lagos State governor and APC chieftain, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had during a meeting with the 36 state governors, Minister of FCT, National Security Adviser and Director General of the Department of State Services in Abuja, stated that he will not approve importation of food into Nigeria, adding that he has no plan to set up a price control board.
According to the media outlet, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu also directed the National Security Adviser, Inspector General of Police and the Director General of the Department of State Services to work together in ensuring that security agencies inspect warehouses were food are being hoarded in Kano State and other areas of Nigeria.
And so following such announcement, Bashir Ahmad took to his official X account to state that one way the country can boost its food production is by encouraging and pushing the country’s local food producers to produce more to feed the nation, adding that Nigeria has the capacity…CONTINUE READING>>
