Carlo Ancelotti went with a bit different game plan this evening as he left Tchouameni on the bench and started Eduardo Camavinga, Kroos, Madric and Valverde. Vinicius and Benzema led the attack.
Nevertheless, the lineup could not defeat Barcelona as Xavi’s men were very solid defensively tonight. As a result, they emerged as the winners at full-time.
Real Madrid now has a difficult task in the second leg at Nou Camp and Barcelona will not be taking it likely as they are known to be very strong at home. Carlo Ancelotti will be strategizing some game plan which will make them win the match after his failure tonight.
Xavi will be hoping that some of his players return from injury for the second leg so that they can perform better than they did in the first leg.
However, Camavinga is trending at full-time because fans believed he was the one that cost Real Madrid the game tonight and Ancelotti should not have started him as a defensive midfielder in the first place.
