The French forward, who spent six years at Barcelona before joining PSG last summer, exuberantly celebrated his goal against his former club, infuriating a section of the Barca fanbase.
Dembele’s passionate celebration has sparked outrage among some fans, with many feeling it displayed a lack of respect for the club that nurtured his talent for so long.
Barcelona fans remember backing Dembele through numerous injury struggles and disciplinary issues. Manager Xavi Hernandez reportedly even swallowed his pride to try and keep the winger at the club.
