The host of the night were able to bounce back to winning ways after their last disappointing one nil defeat against Italian Serie A giant, Inter Milan in their third group game of the UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona in the game secured the whole maximum and needed three points of the night that saw them leapfrogged their perennial rival and reigning Champion, Real Madrid to the top of the table which was a good omen going into the El-Clasico game next weekend.

The only first half goal scored by Spaniard youngster, Pedri Gonzalez was enough to separate the two sides at full time which ended one nil.
