Arsenal look set to have a fully fit side to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday night in their crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg clash. Despite minor concerns for Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka late on during Sunday’s defeat to Aston Villa, Mikel Arteta’s side appears to be in good shape.
Admitting afterwards that “he was feeling something.” Shortly after he left the field, replaced by Emile Smith Rowe, Arsenal conceded twice in short succession, leaving their Premier League title hopes in the balance.
Attention now turns to extending their European season. Arsenal will need to overcome a hostile atmosphere in Germany to progress to a first semi-final since 2006. They are now expected to have an almost entirely available squad for the game too.
There were no absences at the pre-match open training session attending by football.london at the Sobha Realty Training Complex on Tuesday. Arteta will face the media to give full updates ahead of the match.
Jurrien Timber was present in north London once more but is yet to play in an Under-21s match, as Arteta has explained. He is still “a few steps” away from making just a second competitive appearance of the season.
