The transfer fee is undisclosed for now, but one question British Arsenal fans have been asking is why Mikel Arteta would let the talented 22 year old defender leave for cheap.

One thing to know is Arsenal inserted in their contract with Burnley a mirror clause that seems like a buy-back clause. This clause known as the ‘right to first refusal’, allows Arsenal to be the first to sign Dan Ballard in future if Burnley decides to sell him.
