The 22-year-old came off the bench just after the hour mark to make his tenth cap for the Selecao in Friday night’s clash against the Black Stars.
With Tite’s side already 3-0 up thanks to a brace from Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison and a header from Paris Saint Germain captain Marquinhos, the Brazil boss made a triple substitution in the 63rd minute.
United’s number 21 came on to replace Barcelona’s Raphinha on the right-hand side and Liverpool’s Fabinho replaced Casemiro.
Fred was an unused substitute and Alex Telles, who is spending the season on loan at Sevilla from the Reds, played the full match.
Wearing the number 18 shirt for the five-time World Cup winners, the former Ajax man showcased his full range of trickery and skill to glide past two Ghanian defenders.
After chasing and collecting a pass down the right-hand side, Antony had Abdul-Rahman Baba and Mohammed Salisu trying to double up on him.
But Antony’s neat turn, which nutmegged Salisu, left the Ghaninian duo scratching their heads as to how the former Sau Paulo starlet had got himself out of that tight situation.
Antony shared the piece of skill on his Instagram story.
Salisu, who plays for Southampton, will be hoping Antony doesn’t show him up when the Saints travel to Old Trafford later in the campaign.
While Chelsea left-back Baba will no doubt be delighted that he’s spending the season on loan at Championship side Reading instead of facing the prospect of facing the electrifying Antony.
Antony will no doubt be hoping to start Brazil’s next friendly which sees them face Hannibal Mejbri’s Tunisia on Tuesday evening.
