Barcelona would miss defender Ronald Araujo for the first el-Classico of the season with the game scheduled to be on October 16, the defender has an avulsion fracture of the adductor longus tendon in his right thigh.
And as reported by AS, the injury is of such magnitude that the minimum time off will be between six to seven weeks.
Araujo is one of Barcelona’s best performers this season and his absence will be highly felt by Barcelona, especially in a game such as Real Madrid in the La Liga.
The defender could miss the rest of the year and the World Cup could be a bygone for the Uruguayan defender, Barcelona would need to look at other options for the time being at the club.
