According to reports, two men from Kipsapta village, Kuresoi North, Nakuru County discovered the actions of their spouses and saw it wise to exchange wives to avoid chaos and bloodbath.

Robert Kiruo, one of the man who was involved in the exchange claims his wife disappeared after a disagreement with his two daughters. After disappearing, he got the news that the second man had taken his wife.

Instead of going to fight, he approached the other man’s wife and pitched the idea of moving in together since their spouses had left them. The woman agreed making the transaction successful.

“When I realized that the man had decided to take my wife, I chose to take revenge by taking his wife, and his wife also agreed because we were both having problems with spouse infidelity.”

However, their actions forced the village elders to convene a meeting to discuss their actions after many were left in shock. The elders called a meeting immediately to address the issue.

According to Elders, they had never witnessed two men exchange their wives in such a casual manner and proceeded to condemn the action saying its despicable.

“We are perturbed as elders, we have sat down to deliberate on this case because it’s a rare incident not only in Kiptororo but also unheard of in the Kalenjin community but we have pushed forward to Monday to be able to exhaustively listen to them.”
