According to sources, the student is said to have wrote a letter to his parents about the intentions of committing suicide forcing his father to travel to school to check up on him.
On arrival in the school, the student met with his father and after a moment of discussion between the two, the father suggested that he packs some of his belongings so that the can go home for a break and talk about his troubles.
However, after much convincing, the student agreed to his father’s idea and with a friend, they headed to their third floor hostel room to pack as suggested by the father. He was staying in Ndovu Hostel, Third floor prior to his death.
So he went up the stairs from where they had a small meeting with his father and in the company of his friend. His father opted to wait for him at the basement as he went to pack his few belongings.
However, on reaching his room, the student, now deceased excused himself from his friend to use the toilet leaving his friend behind. That’s when he got the chance to sneak through the bathroom window and jump to his death from the third floor.
“He called his parents and told them he was tired of life. He wanted to commit suicide. Around 1630 hrs his father came and after a chat, he told him to pack and go home..
