It could be recalled that yesterday in Iwo, the monarchs, the most of whom are from the Osun West Senatorial District, spoke to reporters at the palace of Oluwo.

They claimed that among all the accomplishments of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, this year’s election left the best legacy.

Quoting a statement released by Oba Akanbi who spoke on behalf of other Kings, he said, “I must express my faith in Nigeria and its outstanding leaders, particularly President Muhammadu Buhari, whose dedication to democratic principles is restoring our faith.

My realistic view is that of all the accomplishments of His Excellency, President Buhari, this general election leaves the best legacy.”

Speaking further, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu who is famously known as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, and other INEC officials received special praise from the Oluwo for their successful performance this year.

In conclusion the monarchs further praised them as martyrs who gave their lives to uphold electoral integrity, fairness, and freedom.
