According to healthline, Stroke is one of the most common medical emergencies, and it often requires prompt treatment and intervention to avoid serious health consequences such as brain damage, long-term disability, or even death....CONTINUE READING

It occurs when the blood supply to certain portions of the brain is drastically diminished or interrupted as a result of a bleed, rupture, or blockage in a brain vessel, depriving the brain tissues of oxygen and other nutrients. Brain cells begin to die within minutes as a result of malnutrition, and stroke occurs.

According to Medicalnewstoday, time is of great essence in any stroke attack as fast treatment can help to reduce brain damage, as well as other health complications that stroke can cause. Every minute matters during a stroke because if blood supply to the region of the brain that regulates the human body’s life support system, such as breathing and heartbeat, is disrupted, death is a possibility.

PAY ATTENTION:  This Is How Stress Harms The Body

Ischemic strokes account for 80% of all strokes and occur when small or big arteries narrow or when blood flow to the brain is impeded by clots.

However, a transient ischemic attack (TIA), often known as a warning stroke or mini-stroke, frequently occurs before the commencement of the ischemic stroke. The symptoms of a transient ischemic attack are typically similar to those of an ischemic stroke, but they are distinct in that they do not harm the brain and usually last less than five minutes.

However, because both ischemic and transient ischemic stroke has similar symptoms, knowing how to recognize them could make all the difference in saving a life or preventing catastrophic brain damage caused by stroke.

With that in mind, here are five (5) warning indicators that your body may display when a stroke attack approaches:

1. Numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, particularly on one side of the body; 2. Sudden disorientation, difficulty speaking, or difficulty understanding speech; 3.

3. Sudden vision problems in one or both eyes;

4. Unexpected difficulty walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or a loss of coordination;

5. A strong headache that appears out of nowhere.

Eating a poor diet, inactivity or lack of exercise, excessive alcohol use, family history, sex (affects women more than men), age, and health history are all major risk factors for stroke attacks in humans.

Because one of the risk factors for a stroke attack is eating an unhealthy diet, it’s critical to identify and avoid the foods that make up an unhealthy diet. With that in mind, here are five (5) foods to avoid if you want to avoid a stroke:

1. Foods high in salt

2. Fats that are high in saturated fats

3. Trans Fat-Rich Foods

4. Foods High in Cholesterol

5. Alcohol
