But although a lot of people consume egusi, only a few people know that it has benefits to the body. Some just eat it for the pleasure and don’t even care if it has benefits or even side effects to the body.

Some studies have found that eating egusi seed could be a very important way of building the antioxidant levels of your body. According to some research, it is believed to be packed with numerous Antioxidants and vitamins that help in preventing some types of diseases.

2. It is good for hair growth

It is believed that egusi seed extract is used in the preparation of ayurvedic medicine for hair growth. These extracts are important for increasing the number of hair follicles according to some animal studies. Although more studies need to be made on this research.
