1. Excessive Stress
Stress is always responsible for a lot of body malfunctions that need to be treated. It is also one of the major factors that cause Amenorrhea. This happens because stress also affects the hypothalamus; the hypothalamus is a part of the human brain that regulates the hormones that trigger menstruation in women.
2. Medications
Medications also tend to be a common factor in the cause of Amenorrhea. Some drugs such as birth control pills, psychiatric medications, and high blood pills are also major determinants of the situation. Therefore such drugs should be avoided if a woman notices that she has Amenorrhea.
3. Genetic Disorders
Another major cause of amenorrhea is a result of some genetic disorders such as Turners syndrome. Turner syndrome is a chromosomal disorder in which a female only has one X. This won’t make her system fully perform the functions of a female with both X chromosomes. Another disorder is known as Sawyer syndrome capable of causing Amenorrhea.
4. Hormonal Imbalance
Hormonal imbalance may also cause a ceased menstruation in the body system. This means when a female has a very low level of estrogen in her body system the carries out feminine functions. It can also be caused when the pituitary gland or thyroid gland starts developing tumors.
