It’s terrifying! Believe me when I say that I understand how you feel. But why is that? Let us elaborate;
1. Being a child:
Your body is in a weird country during puberty. You’re growing quickly, and hormones are rushing through your system at breakneck pace. There’s nothing you can do about it, I’m afraid.
Your body is bound to get confused at some point due to the high influx of hormones… just grab a heat pack if you’re in pain. You’re going to be fine.
2. Contraception:
An abrupt shift in your cycle, especially a week after unprotected intercourse, might be frightening. But don’t worry, it’s only the tablets. One of the negative effects of emergency contraceptive tablets is irregular bleeding. This is a clue that you are not expecting a child. “Menstruation is a symptom of an empty uterus,” after all. 3. Anxiety:
Everyone appears to be stressed these days, especially with present economic inflation and the need to work two or more jobs to make ends meet. Then there’s cortisol, a stress hormone that can have a negative impact on your general health.
Cortisol causes the body to produce a lot of estrogen and progesterone. “Depending on how your body handles stress, this may induce delayed or light periods — or no period at all (amenorrhea),” says Dr. Kollikonda. “You can go for a long time without having a period if you’re under a lot of stress.” If you can’t find expressive outlets for your stress, a decent power nap once a day will help you get back on track.
