If you recognize these signs, it’s time for a serious talk about where you stand. Remember: you deserve someone who’s fully invested, not someone who’s halfway out the door.

When someone loves you, they put in the work — dates, texts, remembering what matters to you. If that’s gone, it’s a red flag. It’s one thing to have the occasional lazy day, but a consistent lack of effort shows a lack of investment in the relationship. Remember, love isn’t just a feeling, it’s something we actively choose to nurture every day.

Deep talks, sharing everyday stuff, cute texts… when that fades, the connection is usually fading too. Love thrives on communication, so when conversations become scarce or superficial, it’s a signal that something’s wrong.

Open communication is the foundation of a strong bond – without it, things crumble quickly. Ask yourself, do you feel truly heard and understood by your partner?

Fewer hugs, kisses, or intimacy? If they’re pulling away physically, they might be pulling away emotionally as well. Physical touch is how many of us express and receive love, so its absence speaks volumes.

It’s natural for physical affection to change over time, but a sudden shift might indicate a bigger problem. Does touch with your partner still feel warm and comforting, or has it become awkward or perfunctory?

We all mess up, but if it seems like they’re always picking on you, the spark is probably fizzling out. Love means seeing your partner’s flaws and loving them anyway. Constant negativity erodes the positive foundation your relationship was built on. Do you feel truly accepted by your partner, or are you under a constant microscope?

Checking out other people a little is normal. But if their eyes (or their phone) are constantly straying, that’s disrespectful and a sign their heart might be, too. A little flirting is harmless, but a consistent wandering eye signifies a lack of focus and commitment within the relationship. Does your partner make you feel like their number one, or do you feel like an option?

Used to be you were their plus-one? If they’re leaving you out, it’s a sign they’re picturing a future without you in it. Healthy couples naturally integrate each other into their lives, so being excluded from plans, big or small, is a major warning sign. Do you feel like a welcome part of their world, or an outsider looking in?

If they’re always talking about their own life and plans, and never about “us” anymore, that’s a bad sign. Love is a partnership, and when it becomes all about one person, the sense of “team” dissolves. Watch out for this subtle but significant linguistic shift. Does your relationship feel like a collaboration, or two separate lives happening in parallel?

Those little quirks you used to find cute now seem to drive them nuts? Something deeper is probably off. Sure, everyone gets annoyed sometimes, but if your mere existence seems to get under their skin, it’s unlikely the love is truly there anymore. Do you still make each other laugh, or has every interaction become tense and tiresome?

If your talks are all surface stuff, and they avoid talking about feelings, that emotional connection is probably gone. Deep conversations build intimacy, and without them, you’re left with just the logistics of life, not the heart of your relationship. Love is at its best when you can be vulnerable and open with your partner. Do you feel safe sharing your hopes, fears, and dreams with them?

This one’s pretty obvious, but if those three words have disappeared, there’s a serious problem. While actions speak louder than words, “I love you” carries weight, and its absence signals a weakening bond.

Sometimes, not saying it is a way of avoiding facing the difficult truth that the love is gone. Do those three words still hold meaning in your relationship, or have they become hollow echoes?

Suddenly, friends, work, or hobbies seem way more important than you? That’s a sign they’ve moved on emotionally. When someone loves you, you’re a top priority. While it’s natural for priorities to shift occasionally, being consistently put on the back burner shows the relationship isn’t their focus anymore. Do you feel valued and cherished, or like an afterthought in their busy life?

Every couple argues. But if they don’t seem to care enough to even try to work things out, it’s likely over. Relationships take effort, and if they’re unwilling to put that in, there’s not much left to salvage.

Conflict is an opportunity to grow stronger together, and refusing to engage shows indifference. Are you both still willing to put in the work to resolve conflict and keep your bond strong?

Love and respect go hand in hand. If they’re rude, belittle you, or disregard your feelings, it’s time to re-evaluate things. You deserve to be with someone who builds you up, not tears you down. Constant disrespect is a dealbreaker in any healthy relationship. Do you feel uplifted and supported by your partner, or do their words and actions chip away at your self-esteem?

If being with you feels like a chore instead of a joy, sadly, the love has likely faded. A partner should be a source of happiness and comfort, and if the opposite is true, it’s time for a serious look at the relationship. Sometimes, love can change and evolve, but it should never be a constant source of sadness. Does your partner light up when you enter the room, or do they seem burdened by your presence?

Sometimes, you just know deep down things have changed, even if you can’t put your finger on it. Trust that feeling. Our intuition is often spot-on, especially when it comes to matters of the heart, so don’t ignore that nagging feeling that something’s wrong. Do you feel a deep sense of peace and security, or a lingering unease in the relationship?

The most straightforward (though often most painful) sign…they simply tell you they don’t love you anymore. While it’s a hard pill to swallow, honesty is sometimes the kindest approach.

If your partner directly expresses this, it’s usually a sign the relationship has run its course. While it hurts, their honesty gives you the chance to move on and find the love you truly deserve…CONTINUE READING>>
