With a value of €150 million, World Cup champion Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain is the most expensive football player in the world.
The 23-year-old PSG player would be expected to command the highest transfer fee, topping Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior (€124m) and Manchester City’s Phil Foden (€131m), according to FootballTransfers’ algorithm.
The French forward Kylian Mbappe was linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid in the summer when his PSG contract expired and he was involved in a sensational transfer dispute. However, he did agree to a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions, and he has had an amazing start to the new campaign, scoring 10 goals in only eight games.
