After losing 4-0 to Japan Women, Tanzania women took their chances against France Women on Match Day 2 by starting well and concentrating their style on early goal.
Shockingly, Mnaly scored for Tanzania Women in the 18th minute and were still able to hold on to it throughout the half.
The 2nd half was a determined one for Tanzania Women as they Played like it was their last game of the Tournament.
Bahera doubled the Africans lead from the Penalty Spot to make it 2-0 but a consolation goal from Calba made it 1-2 for France Women, who failed to level as the Africans picked all points over a respectable French Women.
In the other Group D game, Japan continue their superiority in the group by taking Canada to the cleaners, especially after beating Tanzania by 4-0.
Kubota’s 10th minute opener for Japan gave them the control of the game as Shiragaki doubled their Lead with the 2nd goal of the game and the her 2nd of the competition to seal the interval for the Asian Women.
Just 8 minutes into the second half, Tanikawa scored her 2nd goal of the competition to make it 3-0 for Japan Women.
Japan Women made it 8 goals in 2 games following Takaoka’s stoppage time goal to give Japan Women another 4-0 victory in their second game to humiliate Canada Women.
Japan Women have 6 points in 2 group games as their victory also helped their African sisters, Tanzania Women to occupy the 2nd spot with a full hope of qualifications for the next Round after beating France Women by 2-1.
Tanzania women needs a draw at worse against Canada Women in their last Group game, as they expect the almighty Japan Women to draw or beat France Women on the behalf.
