According to him, an alarming figure of no fewer than 100 COVID-19 cases is recorded daily in the State.
Governor Wike said his administration has already urged churches to reduce the number of worshippers to 50 percent.
NCDC said Rivers recorded 119 COVID-19 cases on Friday, 69 on Thursday and 260 on Wednesday.
Till date the state had logged 12,990 cases and 154 deaths.
It is the third most affected by the virus, after Lagos and FCT Abuja.
