She was born in Kiambu. Unfortunately, her mother died before she turned one. She was left under the care of her aunt who was her mother’s elder sister.
She raised her well and showed her love like one of hers. When she was 3, they relocated to Nyandarua where she was raised. When she turned 7 years old, he aunt started falling sick and developed a big wound on her thigh which was not healing.
After several months of visiting the hospital, she was diagnosed with cancer. One year later her aunt died which broke her heart since her cousins who were older than her used to hate her and mistreat her.
After the burial, the relatives started mistreating her which made her run away from home when she was 9 years old. She was employed to look after the cattle but she could be paid through the food she used to eat.
She persevered hatred and mistreatment from her employer. At 14 years she was molested by a neighbour but after informing her employer she didn’t support her. After 3 months, she realized she was pregnant and delivered her firstborn baby.
When her baby turned one, she met a man from another village who promised her marriage. She was received well by her Inlaws. When her baby turned 2 she conceived her second born. Grace had not introduced her relatives to her husband’s family.
One day a former neighbour who was in search of sheep to buy bumped into her homestead. He talked ill about her to her Inlaws to the extent of telling them that she was raped. From that day, her husband and his family started mistreating her.
Her husband started taking old women in their matrimonial beds in her presence. He could buy meat and force her to cook for them without tasting it. When her husband became physical, she decided to walk out and now raises her kids Singlehandedly..<<CONTINUE READING>>
