With veteran Brazilian defender and arguably Chelsea’s best Player this season, Thiago Silva out injured for a reported 6 weeks, Chelsea needed another defender to step up and Fofana has heeded to that call.
The French defender has always had it in him and it is no surprise for his great performance against Leeds United which was his first major start since his return from injury. It seems like the perfect timing too as he has come in at the right time to take over the defensive mantle from Silva.
It now depends on other Chelsea Players to step up like Fofana and try to save the rest of the season for the Blues as it has really been an awful campaign for the team in general.
