The funeral service which took place in Udi Town, Udi Local Government Area, also witnessed the presence of Enugu State deputy governor, Cecilia Ezeilo, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Edward Ubosi, members of the National and State Assemblies, and other top government functionaries.
In a post on Facebook page on Saturday, Ekweremadu condoled with the family of the former governor over the death of Ifeyinwa.
He said : “I joined my brother and former governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Sullivan Chime, to pay last respect as his wife, the late Mrs. Ifeyinwa Esther Chime was laid to rest at Udi, Enugu State, at the weekend.
” May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace and may the Good Lord grant the family and Enugu State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Amen.”
PlatinumPost gathered that the deceased got married to Sullivan Chime on January 4, 1986 and had four children – Adaora, Nnamdi, Tochukwu and Ezinne.
