How The R-16 Draw Works
The draw features the winners and the runners-up from each of the eight Champions League groups.
Two seeding pots will be formed: one consisting of the eight group winners (seeded teams) and the other of the eight runners-up (unseeded teams).
No team can play a club from their group or any side from their own association. Any other restrictions will be announced ahead of the draw ceremony.
As things stand, Chelsea football club of England who have topped their group could be drawn to face one of the following teams: Club Brugge, Inter Milan, Frankfurt, Real Madrid/Leipzig/Shaktar, Dortmund, PSG/Benfica.
First and second place is still up for grabs in Group F. Leipzig could win the group if Real Madrid lose and they beat Shaktar Donetsk and the team from Ukraine could get second spot if they beat the German club.
In group H, PSG and Benfica are yet to confirm their position as they both have the same points tally currently.
