After the draw, the toughest group which is known as the group of death is group c which comprises Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Viktoria Plzen.
After the draw, many have tipped Bayern Munich to finish top of the table ahead of other teams in the group. However, things might not fall in place as expected, because football is not mathematics that is to be calculated.
First and foremost, the German champions might loose the top spot to a revived Barcelona side who are whom they used to be under Ronald Koeman, after the appointment of Xavi as the head coach a lot has changed, their style of play, co-ordination is abit different.
Then also quality players have been added to the team. the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Raphinha, Frank Kissie, Christensen, and Feran Torres amongst other quality players were added to the team, which has immensely yielded good result, as Barcelona have been a better team than what there were under the Dutch coach.
And lastly, the board controlling and running the Culers affairs have been managing the club with a better policy and foresight. They have been prudent enough on how funds are been raised and spent, compared to the previous administration.
Due to this factors Barcelona might surpass Bayern Munich and Inter Milan in group C and might even make it to either the semis or the finals of this season’s UCL, if they continue to maintain their good performance in the field of play.
