And ahead of next season, Chelsea has already begun their rebuild by completing the signings of two senior defenders for their Women’s team with Eve Perisset joining from Bordeaux a couple of days ago, and Kadeisha Buchanan becoming their latest signing today from Lyon.

Kadeisha Buchanan becomes the second signing of the Todd Boehly era after joining the Blues from the French league, and he will wear the famous Chelsea number 26 Jersey next season, becoming the first Blues player to do so since John Terry’s departure.

However, Chelsea has also announced today that Andreas Christensen, Charly Musonda, Danny Drinkwater, amd Jake Clarke-Salter will leave the club as free agents this summer after running out of their contracts.

Both Andreas Christensen, Clarke-Salter, and Musonda all came through the Chelsea Academy to the senior team, making their senior debuts in 2015, 2016, and 2018 respectively, while Drinkwater joined them in 2017 from Leicester City, but only Christensen has enjoyed more playing time with the senior team as he managed to make 161 appearances for the Blues, winning the FA Cup, Europa League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup in the process and he will be joining Barcelona to start a new chapter of his already exciting career.
