As per David Ornstein, Chelsea are now going out in full force to try and hijack Manchester United’s summer target Frenkie de Jong from FC Barcelona.
Despite the Red Devils agreeing a fee of €65 million plus guaranteed add-ons with FC Barcelona, they are yet to convince the player to come to Old Trafford or agree personal terms, which Chelsea may use to capitalize on and make a move.
Frenkie de Jong is also said to prioritize Chelsea over Manchester United,but for now,he would like to stay at FC Barcelona.
Super Eagles star set to make Premier League move
Super Eagles talented midfielder,Joe Aribo is set to sign up for Premier League team Southampton from Glasgow Rangers. The 2022 Europa League runner up with Rangers was signed for £6 million plus add-ons from Scottish side Rangers,with his medicals for Southampton now scheduled for the coming days.
Tottenham Hotspur signs Clement Lenglet on loan
FC Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur have now reached an agreement for the former’s center back, Clement Lenglet. The French defender will stay with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur team until June 2023 on loan with no buy option, and will have his medical completed soon as he becomes the fifth player to sign up for Spurs this summer.
Manchester City set to offer contract extensions to three key players
Riyad Mahrez,Phil Foden and Rodri are three key Manchester City players who are set to bag new contracts at the English club soon. After agreeing a deal to sell Raheem Sterling to Chelsea this summer for around £45 million,the Citizens are set to extend the stay of these three players by offering them new contracts,as per Fabrizio Romano.

Chelsea are set to finalize a £45 million transfer for Manchester City’s winger Raheem Sterling in the next few days. With personal terms now agreed with the player and his agent,a fee the Citizens is all that stands between them and Raheem Sterling; the wage structures of the player is also not a problem,with the deal set to be finalized soon.
Manchester United adamant on refusal to sell Cristiano Ronaldo
Despite reports that indicates that Chelsea will soon prepare a bid of £15 million to table before Manchester United’s board for the club’s forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United are still standing on their early resolve not to sell the Portuguese star this summer and will like him to honor the one year contract he has left with the club. Cristiano Ronaldo is also set to miss Manchester United’s preseason tour at Bangkok which commences this week.
