Arsenal have reportedly lined up Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana as a possible alternative if they fail to complete a deal for Declan Rice, according to the Daily Mail.

It is thought the 24-year-old France international would be available for around £30 million, though there have not yet been any concrete offers made.

Last week, we reported the Gunners had had their second bid for Rice worth £90m rejected by West Ham. That fell some way short of West Ham’s £120m valuation, though the club are open to sell for less if a player is included in the deal.
