Prostate problems can affect any man, although some men are more likely to experience them than others. Here, we’ll discuss the men who, according to Healthline, are most likely to develop an enlarged prostate.
1. Guys who are overweight
Increased levels of the sex hormone estrogen, which causes enlargement of the prostate, are found in obese males. In men, being overweight is associated with a higher chance of developing prostate cancer. Losing weight with a nutritious diet and regular exercise can help lower your risk.
2. Inactive men
Long durations of inactivity are a risk factor for the development of obesity and, in turn, an enlarged prostate in certain men. In order to maintain a healthy weight and improve general health, it is recommended that men exercise for 30 minutes, five days a week.
In other words, if you have never worked out before, you shouldn’t force yourself to undertake activities that are too challenging. A daily five-minute session of skipping, running, or cycling is sufficient.
3. Erectile dysfunction
Both enlarged prostate and erectile dysfunction do not cause the other. These two states, however, are frequently coexistent. Most medications for treating an enlarged prostate have this effect because of this.
