1. ARTISTE WITH THE MOST VIEWED MUSIC VIDEO
A lot of amazing music videos are released frequently in the Nigerian music industry, however, no music video has amassed more views than Burna Boy’s “On The Low”, the music video currently has 236 million views, this makes it the most viewed music video in the history of Nigerian music.
2. ONLY NIGERIAN ARTISTE THAT HAS WON A GRAMMY AWARD WITH HIS OWN MUSIC PROJECT
Burna Boy won a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album last year, this was due to the success of his “Twice As Tall” album. No other Nigerian artiste has achieved this feat. Although Wizkid has won a Grammy Award too, he didn’t win it with his own music project.
3. ONLY NIGERIAN ARTISTE THAT HAS WON AN EDISON AWARD
Edison Award is the dutch version of the Grammy Awards, only three African artistes have been privileged to win it, Burna Boy is the only Nigerian among them. Burna Boy won an Edison Award for Best World/Jazz album with his “African Giant” album.
