Wait until your child turns one year old before switching to formula or breast milk. During the first year of life, the proteins in cow’s milk and soy milk cannot be digested by your baby, and the levels of minerals in these drinks can harm their kidneys.

•Babies and children should not be given unpasteurized juice or cider, or unpasteurized (raw) dairy products. These may contain pathogenic germs and parasites that can cause serious sickness or death.

•Honey:
