Most individuals strive to conceal their jealousy. There are, however, some indicators that can let you know when someone is envious of you.
Indicators that someone is envious of you
1. Give you false compliments
When speaking face-to-face, envious people will compliment you, but they will spread rumors about you behind your back. Because of this, you ought to be mindful of what you say to others and check with your friends to see whether someone has been spreading rumors about you. Someone who is envious of you will wait in silence before expressing their joy at your accomplishments.
2. Attempt to minimize your success.
People who are envious are insecure and constantly work to thwart the achievement of others. Because they can’t do as much as you, they are envious. Additionally, they will make an effort to persuade you that you are still insufficient.
3. Boast about their success
If someone who is envious accomplishes something, they will do anything to display their accomplishment. People that are jealous typically wish they had other people’s success and will stop at nothing to demonstrate their own achievement.
4. They splay their legs
It is understood that people can cross their legs for a variety of reasons when it comes to body language. However, it is a typical indication of someone who is jealous of something or someone and insecure. When you talk about your accomplishments and success, if someone crosses their legs, they are usually envious of you.
5. Need to prove their superiority
Psychotherapist Melanie Greenberg claims that envious people are excessively competitive and feel the need to establish their superiority. Success can result from competition if ambition fuels it. However, with jealous individuals, this is not the case.
6. Copy everything that you do
Even while copycat behaviour is considered a sign of flattery by psychologists, jealous people will also attempt to mimic your every move. They might even try to imitate your manner of speaking, walking, or dressing. You can only choose not to pay attention to them, which can be frustrating.
7. Try to ruin your reputation
Studies show that those who chatter are unhappy, hostile, and enraged. They typically engage in gossip because they lack self-assurance and superiority. People that are envious of you and want to be like you would do anything to harm your reputation.
8. Honour your mistakes
Jealous people will rejoice if you don’t succeed in achieving your objectives. They won’t ever let you know, though, how delighted they are about your failure. The fact that you have failed at something and that they are superior to you is what matters to them. You need to put distance between yourself and anyone who is enjoying your failures.
9. Spoil your plans
If someone is envious of you, they will be glad to thwart your goals and force you to consider the worst-case scenarios.
10. Convert jealousy into animosity
Being successful means dealing with those who, for whatever reason, despise us. They don’t act violently, but they would do everything to show how much they despise you. The greatest strategy for handling these folks is to make it clear that you don’t give a damn about them…CONTINUE READING>>
