He pointed out that he appreciate not being accused of theft or stealing by Senator Jimoh.

He expressed concern over the lack of transparency regarding budget details, indicating that the budget was passed without comprehensive information on where the allocated figures are directed and for what purpose.

He clarified that his intention is to promote transparency rather than concealment within the budgeting process. Addressing potential misconceptions, he stated that his call for budget scrutiny is not an attack on the Presidency or the government.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”I’m not aware of where those figures are going and what for, we passed the budget without the details.

I don’t like to join issues with what Jimoh said. But I’m glad to tell Jimoh that he didn’t ask the IGP to arrest me for theft or stealing. I’m not sure people understand the gravity of what I’m trying to do. I’m trying to say that the budgeting system should be open and clear rather than trying to hide under something.

And using me as a member of the National Assembly to benefit you because of the suitable place that you find yourself within the leadership of the National Assembly.

I never said that the 2024 budget was skewed against the North. I don’t even speak for the Northern Senators. They are trying to create a political situation out of nothing.
