Chelsea fans would surely look at the Roman Abramovich era, and be definitely happy, considering the trophies they amassed during his time at the club, winning almost all titles possible, and the regular amount of money the club got for signing players.

Well, Chelsea fans would sure hope Toed Boehly delivers on his promises on getting new players, with so many departures already been witnessed, with only formal agreements set to be in place between potential transfer target for Chelsea.

Well, with fans hoping to see who would be the first transfer signing of the Toed Boehly era, who was Roman Abramovich first Chelsea signing.

Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003 from Ken Bates, and invested a significant amount of money on signings, with Chelsea spending over a 100 million Pounds (£100 million), on 11 players in the first transfer season.

Claude Makelele was Chelsea first transfer signing under the Roman Abramovich era, with the French midfielder going on to spend five years at the club, before moving to PSG.

Makelele was an integral member of the Chelsea squad, winning the premier league, FA cup and Carabao cup during his stay at the club.

Well, it remains to be seen who Chelsea signs first, but fans would sure hope he turns out as good as Makelele was at Chelsea.
