In Budapest airport, the fervent Roma fans, equally as agitated as their manager, besieged the English official, leaving him and his family seeking refuge in a secluded back room, desperate to escape the unruly crowd.

Security personnel battled to maintain a protective barrier between the referee, his family, and the belligerent Roma fans who hurled profanities and objects, even resorting to throwing a chair, resulting in a scene of utter chaos.

Rio Ferdinand and the refereeing organization PGMOL were among those expressing their condemnation for the disgraceful spectacle, prompting airport staff to secure Taylor and his family before guiding them safely to their departure gate.
