Worst Players....CONTINUE READING
1. Vinicius Junior.
Despite Real Madrid being the more attack minded team in today’s match, Vinicius Junior somehow had a below average game.
He made decent runs which were not picked out by anybody in the Real Madrid midfield and his decision making in the final third was poor.
2. A. Balde.
It was his first El-Clasico game today and what a poor display it was from the 19 year old. He was given a proper run around by Valverde and was mostly caught out of positioning half of the times Real Madrid counter attacked Barcelona.
3. Robert Lewandowski.
In a game where he was expected to shine for Barcelona, Lewandowski flopped. Barcelona had the lion’s share of ball possession but for some reason, Lewandowski got little to no service inside the Real Madrid penalty box. He did get an assist though.
Best Players.
1. Karim Benzema.
34 and going strong, there’s no doubt that Karim Benzema is still the best striker in Spain at the moment. His link play play was excellent and what a connection he has with the rest of his teammates. He is aging like fine wine indeed.
2. Toni Kroos.
He pulled the strings from midfield for Real Madrid in their win over Barcelona today. Ever so elegant on the ball and he did his fair bit of defensive work.
3. F. Valverde.
If there’s a player that is very similar to Chelsea’s Mason Mount, it’s Real Madrid’s Valverde. Both players share so many similarities, except that Valverde is a slightly better dribbler and tackler. Against Barcelona today, he ran tirelessly for the full 90 minutes and played a key part in the win.
