As per reports from the Telegraph, the veteran defender could be allowed to leave West London once France centre-back, Jules Kounde put pen to paper for the former European Champions.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are reportedly close to securing the services of 23-year-old Sevilla center-back Jules Kounde in a deal worth £55 million.
According to reports, the Premier League giants could finally be able to sell £150,000 per week full-back Azpilicueta as a result of Kounde’s arrival.
The 32-year-old is poised to finalize a transfer away during this window & Barcelona on the other hand are also holding out for the chance to hire his services on a two-year deal.
Despite rumors of a move to the Camp Nou, The Spain international is currently on the preseason tour with the Blues. However, he did miss the most recent friendly game against Charlotte FC due to a minor injury.
The Kounde acquistion could have an impact, Azpilicueta, who is a versatile player, has been so important to the Blues team over the years.
