Reliable transfer journalist, Gerard Romero has added more to this growing relationship by reporting, but rather cryptically, Todd Boehly’s positive reaction when asked about an agreement with the Blaugrana.
In the midst of rumors circulating about the futures of Chelsea duo, Marcos Alonso & Cesar Azpilicueta, Frenkie de Jong, and possibly Memphis Depay, Romero provided an update.
Starting with Alonso and Azpilicueta, Barcelona’s pursuit of the two Chelsea defenders has gone smoothly so far, and the New Chelsea owner answer could point to a probable agreement over their departures from the London based club.
The West Londoners on the other hand may also discuss a possible deal for Netherlands international, Frenkie de Jong.
The 25-year-old has emerged as the latest target for the German tactician, Tuchel this summer, with the former European Champions ready to beat Erik Ten Hag’s United to his signature.
It won’t be shocking to see Chelsea and Barcelona come to an agreement on a de Jong transfer fee because Barcelona is counting on the Dutchman’s departure to bring in some much-needed transfer income.
