As per reports from the Daily Star, the North Londoners could make an offer for the French World Cup Winner, with Ex-Leicester City Star heading into the last year of his existing deal at Stamford Bridge, with the Mikel Arteta’s side poised to add to the midfield acquisition of Portugal international, Fabio Vieira.
The Frenchman, who joined the Former European Champions from Leicester City in 2016 for a reported £30 million, is widely rated as one of the best in the world in midfield, a bargain transfer that has defined the EPL & European scene
Kante could quit the West Londoners this summer despite his outstanding record there, which includes an EPL title, a UEFA Champions League & a PFA award.
Indeed, under new owner Todd Boehly, Chelsea are going through a significant summer of change. With England international, Raheem Sterling is expected to join the Blues, and now Kante could switch to the Emirates with Arsenal keen.
No player in Europe is seen to be better than Kante for Arsenal’s need for additional defensive quality in central midfield, but the Gunners should possibly think again before making a bid to secure the services of the £290,000-a-week player.
