Despite being linked to clubs like Chelsea and Sporting Lisbon, Ronaldo is thought to be open to the idea of returning to Real Madrid, where he is the club’s all-time leading scorer with 450 goals in 438 appearances.
However, The Mirror reports that Real Madrid are not expected to buy Ronaldo or any other striker in the January transfer window, despite the fact that their star player Karim Benzema was forced to retire from the World Cup dEven though a return to the Santiago Bernabeu seems unlikely, Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is rumored to be trying to negotiate a move away from Manchester United.
Currently preparing for the World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo is expected to face Ghana in Portugal’s opening game on Thursday.
