According to Fichajes, Carlo Ancelotti is looking to bring in 35-year-old Edinson Cavani to rival Karim Benzema on a short-term deal.
The 35-year-old Uruguayan forward is currently a free agent, as his deal at Old Trafford will terminate at the end of this month.
He could be deployed as either left-winger or right-winger aside from being a natural striker. Edison Cavani suffered multiple injuries during last season, which limited him to participate in just 15 league matches for the Red Devils.
With Cavani set to leave Old Trafford this summer, Manchester United have started seeking a replacement for the Uruguayan forward, having been linked with a move to sign some quality strikers lately.
