Even though the Gunners had been dominating the race for weeks to capture the Ukrainian, Mudryk eventually signed with London rivals Chelsea on Sunday.
However, the Blues announced the Ukraine winger had joined the team in a formal capacity halfway through their 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
The Gunners have now moved their attention to Raphinha, a former favorite of Leeds United, after missing out on their original target.
Chelsea and Arsenal both made offers for the Brazilian over the summer. Rafinha, though, only had eyes on Barca, and as soon as they called, a move to Camp Nou quickly came into being.

The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, is prepared to “negotiate a transfer package” for Raphinha, according to Diario Sport.
Arsenal must, however, satisfy the £100 million price tag Barcelona affixed to the 26-year-old winger, according to Barcelona.
Arsenal may have trouble signing a forward before the transfer window ends on January 31 due to Barcelona’s value of Raphinha.
However, Arteta might yet make a bid for the 26-year-old since he is anxious to bolster his team and assist the Gunners in winning their first Premier League championship in 19 years.
